Qantas not following fare rules and refusing refund?

UPDATE: Refund minus the $150 fee processed this morning. No explanation as to why it took 7 follow ups.

7? That’s amazing. You did well. Would have thought you would have needed to make at least a dozen calls. Things are improving with QF then.

They must be running scared.

I cancelled a reward booking this morning HEL-HND on JAL, and the points were back in my account within a couple of hours.

I've had a couple of other cancellations refund the cash within a couple of weeks recently.

Unheard of just a month or two ago...

I had to ring up a month ago just to ask where the points were from a LAX-SYD classic reward I cancelled two months earlier. It’s ridiculous that they don’t just do it.

Using customers to fund their balance sheet from the lag in refund processing.
