Long time lurker first time poster.

I'm on QF 23 from Sydney to Bangkok next Tuesday in Y. The flight appears to be pretty chockers, with Expert Flyer saying:
J3 C0 D0 I0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 G0 E0

But qantas.com appears to still be selling plenty of Y seats, giving me prices for all the way up to 9 seats.

Is this Qantas over-selling or is the ExpertFlyer information wrong?

I'm interested because I'd like to know my chances of my points upgrade being approved (I'm WP) or even an op-up.

Firstly, a belated welcome to AFF.

E/F by default shows availability from a USA point of sale (it can be changed to the UK).

Airlines can vary availability for a flight segment based on many factors including route (connections, Origin, destinationb), point of sale, agency, status and the like.

What "fare Bucket" are these flights booking into?

Seems to have moved a little:

J0 C0 D0 I0 U0 Y9 B4 H3 K1 M0 L0 V0 S3 N0 Q0 O0 G0 X0 E0

The BA codeshare is showing exactly the same.

Interestingly very few seats showing as allocated.

Maybe they are looking at an equipment change from A332 to A333 as well.
