Qantas partnership with BP

Must be targeted - nothing here :( Would have bought another Sodastream canister!!
Check your bpme app if you have it linked. I activated it on there well before I got an email.

Unfortunately, Sodastream is not eligible:

Base and bonus points are earned on eligible snack, convenience and coffee product purchases only. Eligible products for this offer exclude parts, batteries, car wash, tyres and other non-food or convenience items. Eligible products exclude smoking products, gift cards, and other items. Purchases made with BP Plus will earn base and bonus points at half the standard rate.

Also it is for one single transaction only, up to $50:

Members will earn: 20 Qantas Points per $1 spent on eligible shop items (1 standard point + 19 bonus points), in their first transaction made during the Promotion Period. Bonus points will be earned up to a maximum of $50. Any spend over $50 will earn standard points only.

Nothing in my app either.

Could you please post the full T&C? Sodastream is usually eligible and I would have thought included in the "essentials" part of the promo.

Tobacco and gift cards are never eligible to earn points so their exclusion is standard.

Here they are:

Got the email, as I have activated the previous 2/3/5x times offer.
Sudoer, maybe Sodastream canisters are not considered "food/essentials".
This one with a max of $50, seems to be a placation for their previous offers, when we had to buy fuel or other items for more than $50 to get the bonus points.

Earn the below bonus points on each of your 3 x eligible purchases at bp
Purchase one - earn 500 bonus points
Purchase two - earn 500 bonus points
Purchase three - earn 1,000 bonus points

Hi all, I recently signed up for BP rewards and have been diligently filling up at BP in order to get the 50 Qantas Status Credits offer. I have been noticing that whilst the points are showing in my Qantas account, they are not the same as what I actually spent. I vaguely noticed this in the past but yesterday paid special attention. Yesterday I spent $51 and got only 30 points. Has anyone had this experience. This is important to me not because of the 20 points but because you need to spend $50 per visit in order to get the 50 status credits offered. If it is only registering 30 points does it for some reason think I only spent $30? I'm concerned. Normally this wouldn’t matter but in lockdown it’s difficult to spend a lot on petrol.

The points for fuel are based on litres bought not dollars spent. One point per litre for standard fuel and two point per litre for premium fuel.

I agree it’s difficult to spend a lot on petrol in lockdown. I hope they extend the offer.

Yes. Fuel is per litre whilst purchases instore are per dollar. If fuel is above $1 per litre and it's not premium unleaded (which earns 2 points per litre) it will be less than what you spent.

The points earn is based on the number of litres purchased - 1 point per litre for most fuels, 2 points per litre for 98.

As long as you are spending $50 or more you will be eligible for the SC promo.

Edit: beaten x2

Got it here too. Will stack well with my 4th SC promo fill-up, easy 500 points.

Rookie error - I have been filling exactly $50.01 lately which only gets me about half a tank!!!
Good for the status credits and in lockdown, where people are travelling less, $50.01 makes sense... $50.01 is not so good, however, for maximising some of the other points offers BP have had recently (eg; first fill 2x points, second fill 3x points, third fill 5x points) so full tanks was my strategy prior to lockdown.

Have been getting fuel and when near to the "end" I stop at exactly nn.00 liters. I keep getting credited with one less point than the full liter amount. eg today I got 48.0 liters and the receipt said 47 QFF points.

Any one else see this?
Too much wandering
Fred

Timing is unfortunate. Not expecting to be out of lockdown by the time this ends on 7 September and the tank is still almost full so won't be making use of this.
Same here - I put just over $50 into the tank a couple of days ago which topped it up, as the 5th purchase to trigger the Status Credits. Being in lockdown in the ACT I'm not going to do much driving before 7 Sep to get the most out of it. Such is life...

I've just noticed this come up in my activity statement - wonder if it's some sort of error or anyone has had a similar experience? I have completed 6 fills, at some point in August the 50SC offer went off the BPme app and then it came back up..
