Qantas PE - 747 or 380?

Which service do you think is better in PE LAX-BNE or SYD return - 747 or A380 aircraft?

I was disappointed with 747 PE last month, day flight SYD-HKG, with a recliner in front for entire trip. Worse was 34AB between toilet & galley. I wouldn't do it again unless 36JK available, particularly if overnight.

Blu, was it a refurb, or non-refurb 747?

Was refurbished, 747 PE 2-4-2 config and seemed crowded. 36 seats, 1 toilet.
But 36JK bulkhead seats are great if available (otherwise I'd avoid). With a recliner in front for the entire trip, it was difficult to exit from 37JK.
A380 PE is only 2-3-2 config. I've only travelled old A380 configuration (PE to LHR) & that was more enjoyable than the 747 PE to HKG.
