Qantas PER-JNB in 2025

Hi - just wondering if there's and news on the PER-JNB route that's meant to launch mid next year? When will the schedules be published and fares be available for purchase?

Probably as soon as Qantas works out where it's going to find an extra aircraft to operate this service.

I'm only half-joking, sadly. I wouldn't hold my breath on an announcement too soon, but I could be surprised.

The current 2nd SYD-HND once MEL and BNE flights move from NRT.

Looks like both PER-JNB and PER-AKL might not be going ahead, both have been removed from Qantas' international flight map (these routes previously appeared as commencing in mid-2025).
