That is word-for-word what was said on the flight I was on last week. I thought it was handled professionally. It was brief and to the point and without any emotive language.

Also heard the announcement over the PA for the first time yesterday. Certainly got the impression that the pilots wanted to do the best for themselves given the situation, but also the airline at the same time.

Guess I will hear it next week, it does seem reasonable. I am experienced in managing campaigns against opponents with stacked decks and it is very difficult.

I heard it Wednesday night flying home. Extremely professional delivery and quickly done towards the end of the flight. You can tell QF pilots are proud of who they are. They want to see the airline survive with it's safety reputation.
