Qantas Platinum One experiences?

That’s a new one, I thought QF had systems to ensure only the person flying could have their FF details on, sounds like an error (possibly in your favour, unless your mum is chasing points/SCs).

Maybe it had to do with your booking via the VIP team rather than yourself online? Maybe they somehow mistakenly entered your FF details on her booking and the system let them?
Was it an ‘Enjoy your flight’ upgrade on the boarding passes?
Does your mum happen to have the same first initial/similar name to you (eg. Peter/Peta)?
I think it must have been something to do with the VIP team creating the booking.

My mum has a different first initial and she still accrued points and status credits despite my FF being on there.

All the upgrades she received had the standard wording at the bottom of the ticket from the VIP team. I assume those are processed manually, so somebody must have seen the different first name.

Anyway - weird one!

Not sure that PCV played into these elements as I haven't been travelling nearly as much as I used to and still was lucky enough to receive the upgrades and CL invite. I haven't heard of a CL invite in recent months so suspect they have stopped that for the time being
True, one year I had 7,000 SCs earned that year and no CL passes, but others with less did get passes. Same with upgrades some of my lower SC P1 years have had more upgrades than others.

I wouldn’t over complicate it. I believe it is more dependent on the surprise and delight factor at that particular time.

Separately, the Songbird event in Sydney last week was another fantastic event. Was great to meet a few other P1s and hear some thoughts from the top.

Hi everyone, first time poster and newly minted P1.

Regarding getting invites to events some AFF posters have recommended updating your 'interests' in your QFF profile. I have looked in my profile (including on desktop) and I can't find such a section; just email subscriptions.

I do faintly recall a section when I originally signed up with options such as 'golf' or 'opera'. Does this still exist? Thanks!

I had a poke and can't find it any more either. There used to be a section to tick up to three or so interests - I didn't pick things like golf as I have no interest in that.

Now there doesn't seem to be a place to nominate preferences, so everyone will get invites to the same events like crocheting, mudwrestling and underwater basket-weaving - except for me, I've only ever received one invitation and I couldn't make it because I was travelling.

Arrived home yesterday evening to the most recent 'collectors edition' of the QF mag. Not sure if P1 related but they have done this periodically in the past. More advertising than content from my quick perusal.

Got is as a mere Plat. Just a high-end advertising rag (but interesting to see University of NSW in there too.

Received it too. Lots of pages between the front cover and the start of the 'content,' being prime ad real estate.

Got it too but the link doesnt work lol

Update got it to work on my phone :)
