Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Same situation thinking of letting go handcuffs prefer flying China Eastern instead. The P1 experience has overtime deteriorated more so after COVID under AJ. Maybe I am hallucinating and correct me if I am wrong.

Now, I currently have a status balance of 2340 and clearly understand the deficit, but come on!
Do we fly to earn status credits or earn status credits because we fly. I know which I do and with 3 months left it is going to be close. But ill get there. My point is, the letter is disrespectful and insulting. I know what P! offers. There is no way that I would voluntary give up my status however if I dont or cant fly, then it is what it is. Just saying.....
 
I have been P1 since 2019

I got nothing from them this Christmas (no PJs, wine, champagne, even magazine). And nothing last year either.

My wife reached P1 for the firsttime this year and gotthe PJs and champagne is separate deliveries. I thought maybe Qantas had switched to just giving these things to new P1 arrivals, but seeing all the talk in this thread, it looks like they have forgotten me... :-(

Would it be rude for me to ring up and ask why have they forgotten me?

I am a new P1 and did not get anything…. At least you are not alone :-(

Heard back from Qantas - I was told that they found a glitch/oversight where me and other P1 members weren't being included on the lists, and I'm told to expect a gift in late Jan. I asked what the glitch was - was told that they didn't have details to share and to rest assured that it's fixed.

I'll report back if/when something arrives!

I also asked (maybe a bit cheeky as I just made P1 in December) and have been added to the list of missed recipients.

It sounded like there was something wrong with the address they had on file for me.. even though I have received countless bag tags etc in the past.

I just checked and not at all. Also buy wine through Qantas Wine.

Spoke with VIP yesterday and it seems there are issues with the Profile page that was updated 14 months ago. They temporarily turned off the interest's section. It looks like it may not have been reinstated properly. VIP are investigating and will come back as they couldn't even see it in their own accounts.

Can anyone get in and change the interests section?

Thank you for your patience, my colleague reached out to our VIP Loyalty team for you regarding events as per your conversation with him yesterday.

They have advised that the interest and hobbies section on Qantas.com was removed some time ago as it was out of date and not regularly used by members on Qantas.com. They are however in the process of developing a new section for Platinum One events which will hopefully be available sometime in 2025.

To ensure they are fair and consistent, they do endeavor to invite Platinum One members to at least one (1) event a year but as they do travel a lot, they will not invite Platinum One members to events when we know they are travelling, which may have been the case with yourself. However, they did advise that you can expect to be invited to another event this year.

I asked the question about the profile error above because I get the error below when logging in on a desktop computer (and it only started when I hit P1 for the first time in 2024).

I've tried to get rid of it by updating and re-saving settings, but nothing seems to work.

I can get to an "Interests and Subscriptions" section but IIRC it's not like the old one where I could select music, sports, etc.
 
As per my last post this feature has been turned off but looks like something new is coming our way.
