Qantas Platinum One experiences?

As a newbie P1 who just recently got mine, I have 2 general questions;
1. With the Welcome Pack, does it just rock up at your house, and if so, how long after reaching P1 do they send it?

2. When calling to travel to release CR seats via the normal QF bookings, does entering your QFF on the phone re-route to the VIP line?

Congratulations! RE Q1, from recent experience I would say 4-6 weeks. No action required by the member.

Took 3-4 weeks for mine but might have been delayed by Christmas. The welcome kit includes a personalised folio which might take a week or so for them to source.

Yes, but did you get a welcome phone call yet? After the call they sent me an email with the P1 specific number.

I did get a call while I was on a flight, but I didn't leave any voicemail, so I just left it at that (recent spam/scam calls). But I did get an email later saying that the VIP team member tried calling me to congratulate me on attaining P1.

On the app itself, I have a number now, which I assume is the P1-specific call line. Additionally, that email by the P1 staff had a phone number in their signature, so I saved it for my contacts as well.

Welcome JB to the 'club'.
The hardest thing about this membership is keeping it. I was reminded by Qantas recently that I was behind with my status credits to keep P1 for the ensuing year. Apparently, we only fly to earn SC's and with 6 weeks to go, 1200 behind and 1050 booked. It will be close.

Update: I asked last night and replied this morning, but mid-day today, I got the parcel for P1. I was waiting for a parcel from Amazon, so getting this was a good surprise! Quite a nice little kit, and I didn't know they were still issuing the physical card with a chip as Qantas Money was discontinued from these cards.

I know I won't requal next year but most likely will the year after, so it will be interesting to see the 'you're behind on re-qualifying P1' later this year.

Interesting my Flight MEL-SYD on Friday had a 15 minute schedule change which I accepted on Thursday last week. Sunday Morning received a Call from the P1 team who asked if I was aware of the change and is it acceptable.

1) First time I have ever had this on a domestic flight,
2) Surely if I had accepted the change, they would already know this.

Has anyone else had the same?

Yes I got one the other day. Received email and text notifications of some changes to some flights in a few weeks' time, but as I may not end up travelling I hadn't bothered to go in and see / accept. P1 team called about one specific sector and the agent was able to rebook me.

Unfortunately neither he (nor I to be fair) saw that I had also been 'downgraded' from an A330 to a 737 for a longer flight. Would have liked to explore alternatives had it been raised.
