Hi All,

Sorry I've done a search and can't find the answer to these questions about using Qantas points to purchase Jetstar vouchers.

1) Qantas store says "
This voucher will be sent by email the next business day after order." What are peoples experience with this. Are they ever done same day? Would I have it by Monday morning?

2) Can you use more than 1 voucher for a booking?

3) Actually I was looking for a way to pay for Jetstar flights using points. Same as points plus pay, but this seams to be the only way.

Thanks

Craig

1. I have found that it can take about a day usually. If you bought it today, you would probably receive it on Monday (next business day)

2. No. You can only use one voucher per booking, and if there is any amount remaining, you will still be charged a credit card fee (I mean, "booking and service fee") for paying it with a card. If your voucher covers more than the cost of the booking, then I believe the remaining value is forfeited.

3. Instead of using a Jetstar voucher, have you tried searching for the flight as a classic reward? You should be able to redeem points for most Jetstar flights this way through the Qantas website. The number of points required is 80% of an equivalent Qantas redemption.

2. I recently used two Jetstar vouchers to pay for flights. The remaining balance of the flight costs has to be paid for by Credit/Debit card subject to "Booking and Service Fee" or POLi (no additional charges).

Thanks Benjy. Did you have to do this by phone?
I have a Jetstar MC so should be no fees?

Cheers

No direct SYD-HKT classic award available.

Cheers

to book a Jetstar anyseat award, go to Qantas.com and log in, search for the route pair you are looking for as a cash fare, when on the results page click on "VIEW IN POINTS", select the Jetstar flight and the Qantas site will redirect you to Jetstar.com to complete the booking in points. This is valid for any cash fare and does not require a classic award to be available.

That's the solution I was looking for.
Thanks Aussie_flyer.

Hi Guys - similar question to the collective experience of AFF - as I am wondering if vouchers are a good solution to a problem. I would like to under one domestic Jetstar booking if possible to pay for one seat with points and another cash. Is points plus pay a good option. Or does using vouchers represent better point value? Or if two separate bookings - ie one classic rewards and another cash - is there a way to ensure the seats are together on the plane.
