Just approved for this one. Didn't receive any follow up or notification. Only found out when I logged in to check progress. Seems they hit my credit score twice. Bit of a shambles.

Surely you can get that second enquiry expunged, I can't see how two enquiries for the same application could ever be considered legitimate

I've done this before and it worked fine. They go back to the bank and if they don't hear back from them in a certain period, they rule in your favour and remove the duplicate.

Will have to look into it. First one has a $0. Second one was for the $6k two days later.

I've applied for this card in the past and always been rejected. Found it funny this application was basically waved through without a follow up.

The anniversary of my Qantas Premier Platinum card has come up so I just called up to ask about the fee "due to not getting value from the card because of the lack of travel" (I was careful to not mention cancelling the card or anything like that as that would have ended their ability to offer anything at all). Offered a 50% waiver - bringing it down to $149.50.

My annual fee just came up too and I was immediately offered a 50% discount to $149.50 plus 20k QFF points. I suspect they are fielding lots of these calls given the difficulty to spend QFF points atm. ( I spend approx $85k p.a on this card)

this card will be confined to the bin...and if they ask the reason why will be lack of support for either of Samsung or Google Pay
I have persevered with this card since about 2018, but I am thinking it is time to jump ship.

Finally looking to install google pay and I find this useless card still doesn't support it. IIRC there was some "not just yet, real soon now" commentary about this in 2018.

Cheers skip

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the 80 SC?
Have you received your 80 SC yet? My first monthly statement was on the 26th and I received the 80,000 points on the 27th but no sign of the 80 SC yet. I presume any standard purchase qualifies and you don't need to buy a Qantas product to qualify?

I've had the card open for almost two months and haven't received the 80k points or 80SC yet, I'll wait until next week when my statement comes otherwise I'll give them a call. I was also under the impression any standard purchase qualified for the 80SC, might need to call them to prompt it. Frustrating!

Has anyone had any luck lately with the "not a cancellation, but my what can we do about my fee" call? Switched to a NAB business card (wanted everything streamlined) so need to cancel, but figured I'd see what milking can be done.

Switched to a NAB business card
I honestly don't know one way or another, but do the consumer credit provisions around cancellation apply to business cards as well? I haven't seen it mentioned, you may be able to be more direct with a business card?
