But still not Samsung pay.
I couldn't believe this when I went to get set up. I guess I should've read more reviews because it comes up again and again. Anyway, I'm that person that goes out with only my phone these days so this is a hassle. I should be making the spend required to get the sign up bonus in month 1 and then this card will be confined to the bin...and if they ask the reason why will be lack of support for either of Samsung or Google Pay.

Their so cough at paying the bonus points out. Was meant to receive 5 * 5k points each month for minimum spend (hit all months).
- Month 1. 5k paid without issue along with spend points.
- Month 2. Totally missed although spend points paid
- Month 3. 10k paid on time capturing month 2 along with spend points.
- Month 4. 5k paid without issue along with spend points.
- Month 5. 7 Jan. Spend points only - no bonus points.

And it sucks they don't have Google Pay.
Month 5 points have come through with Feb spend points. Now I'm done.

Bonus points and base points came through yesterday with first statement. No SC though...
How long after approval or first spend until your first statement? I am 1 week in and 40% of the way to the minimum spend.

I signed up at the start of November. Met the spend requirement on day 1. Received the bonus points in the first statement. Card is now cancelled.
Did you get any of the annual fee back? Or was it never even charged?!

Just checked and no, did not receive any refund. The card sat in the app with a “pending closure” note under it and just notice this has now changed to closed. No final statement issued which is a bit strange.

Has anyone received a possibly forged text message from "QPremier" for their Qantas Premier card? Mine reads "Your security code from Qantas Credit Card is : xx_xx_." It says, "If you did not expect this code please call us on 1300xx_yyyy" - the only difference to a legitimate message is the 1300 number provided is different to the published one and possibly not genuine. (I did not conduct any transactions recently that should have caused a code to be sent.)

I have tried to contact Qantas Money (on the published contact number, 1300 992 700) about this but the wait times are huge - which makes me wonder if such a message has been sent out widely.

I didn't get it .

I checked a genuine text from Qpremier. The number to call (if code is unexpected) is 1300771445.

Interesting. It looks like they've changed their number (for this specific purpose), as all previous texts in my history showed 1300 992 700, but the new texts from today showed 1300771445. I tried calling 1300 992 700 and it has the expected greeting about Qantas Money, but when calling 1300771445 it routes to a generic message not referencing any specific brand, which is also quite suspicious. Incidentally, on both numbers no one answered, and after about 10 minutes holding it hung up on me; great customer service!

Anyway it looks like the root cause of my issues is that in fact my card has been stolen - I found an unauthorised transaction in the online view. So the texts were probably genuine from the thief trying to use the card online. I've locked the card for now and it will try calling them again later.

Edit: Tried again and was on hold for 45 minutes before I gave up, even on the "lost and stolen" option which you would think should be answered quickly. Not impressed with this, Qantas/Citi ...

Welcome to Citibank, pretty good products but cough customer service!

Update - finally got through this afternoon and "Qantas Premier" indicated that they have been having exceedingly high call volumes due to a large number of fraudulent transactions similar to mine. The one fraudulent transaction that succeeded was "ALMACENES EXITO" which appears to be a retail store in Colombia (where I have never been and have no connections). The agent indicated that several other transactions had been blocked by their fraud system, from Amazon that also originated in Colombia. I am usually pretty careful with my CC details so it will be interesting to see if there has been some kind of larger scale data breach somewhere.
