So just completed a survey asking me about my past travel habits and future habits as well as my spending overseas and in Australia. Came across this scenario:

Looks QFF debit card might be coming soon, similar to the AirNZ one. I know there have been rumours, but interesting to see the earn rates. Now if it was foreign transaction fee free, then they might be onto a winner...
 
What a rubbish earning rate. Surely you could do better than that will very little effort?

They won't be able to make much money out of this so would lose lots of $$$ on a prepaid product if they were giving away 1pt per $ in Aus

The interchange revenue wouldn't be much at all
 
The merchant fee on Visa Debit is also less than on Credit, but it is somewhat made up for that there is a higher merchant fee on foreign Visa Cards. It will be interesting to see.
 
If it would be like the NZ one where a NZ resident can purchase Airpoint Dollars for NZ$1 each thereby basically disenfranchising Frequent Flyers ...
