H all,

I'm not sure if anyone has come across this issue recently. I've had flights in both April and June that were successful in me obtaining a price promise of the $ difference in fares, and the 1,000 Qantas points. However, my flights from April have had the $ refunded, but no Qantas points, and my flights in June to date, have not had the $ refunded.

I've contacted the price promise team to be told that for my April flights, there was a back end error and that I have to wait another 8 weeks for the points to come through. For the June flights to date, I've been told that multiple claims between April and May have had technical issues affecting the refund (and it's not just my claim).

Is anyone else experiencing this? It's not like my claims are for a lot of $ or Qantas points, but I would have just booked under the other provider if I knew the claim would have been this difficult!

I flew to Wellington in early Dec and while the $ have arrived, I still haven't received the points - the agents on the phone didn't know what Price Promise was, and the mail merge reply on email doesn't inspire confidence!

Not sure it helps but I’ve been replying back the to [email protected] and they do seem to reply back to you (takes a good number of business days though). Not sure how a benefit can be sold and then not carried through in line with their own terms and conditions!

I've only used Price Promise once and it took ages and lots of emails before I received the refund or points. Nowadays I don't bother.

What websites do you use for the price promise? As in external to qantas to get them to price match with and they said ok

The one time I managed to use Price Promise, it was STA Travel - CBR-SIN in discount Y during a sale, $499ish on the QF site, $435 via STA Travel.

Amidst all the DSC booking fiasco I experienced last night, I still managed to shop around for the lowest price (directflights.com.au) and was surprised my claim has been approved...

I was approved for price promise for flights, $11 was refunded 2 days after first flight but getting the approved 1000 points after 8 weeks of returning is impossible. Despite their email approving the 1000 points it never appeared after 3 months. After many webchats and emails to various depts. incl the email address suggested below and assurances it will be credited it still has not. Often when I email them they will not answer the question but say you have received the standard points or your ebay bonus points have been credited.....some staff seem to not know what price promise is or existed even though I attach the price promise email stating that I was approved. Its been a complete waste of time but for Qantas not to credit me 1000 points they promised which is worth approx. $10 they have spent and wasted about $100 of their staff time on emails, webchats and phone calls with me.

Maybe they are hoping you will go away. With all that interaction I sus you have a few SR numbers chalkedup.

Maybe time for the ACA:
