Qantas Red Planet

Project Beauty Tracker 2 yesterday - an easy 100 points as I always buy something in the beauty range (makeup, shampoo, etc). The trick is to only purchase one thing, otherwise the survey goes on for ever as it's the same questions for each product type you bought. :)

It is a fine balance. Put a lot of items, you'll more likely progress (but take ages). Pick minimal items (to save time) and risk not picking the correct one(s) and getting screened out.

Never been screened out of Beauty Tracker surveys - as long as you have bought something in the past three weeks it seems OK. There is a list of categories to identify purchase first, then later the type, brand, price, retailer

I finished a long survey the other day and at the end when it asks you how you found the survey it just crashed. I sent an email on the Red Planet contact page but haven't heard from them. How have others handled that?

After not hearing from Red Planet for a month I received 2 survey invitations today. The first was Bull Tracker which I entered successfully, however it made my web browser redirect between several web pages and eventually told me I had already completed the survey when I hadn't answered any questions. I had the option on the portal to "resume" but when I clicked on it, all I got was the completion message. No main points or rejection points appeared in my record. I've sent a contact us query off to support so I'm hoping they'll credit the reject points.

The second survey was Project Alan and I still can't get that song out of my head. It involved watching a video which wouldn't play on my web browser. Unfortunately there was no option to exit the survey at this point so I closed the tab and attempted to re-enter the survey. The system must have recognised I couldn't complete the survey as I got the Quota Full message and got the rejection points.

@VPS I have seen posts on this thread to say that members have received points from the contact us form but it might take a few days. This is much better service than most online survey organisations as many sites don't want to hear about non working surveys and won't credit the points or take months to resolve the issue before they credit the points.

I got an email notification of a survey, but when I went in to the portal nothing there.

How weird, that was what happened to me too!

That would generally mean that they have filled the required number of responses before you got there, or they pulled the survey. Had that happen to me plenty of times.

As I have indicated in previous posts, I get screen shots and email Red Planet Research <[email protected]>. Rachel seems to answer me every time.

I clicked the link within 5 minutes of receiving the email though, maybe they pulled it.

I asked once:

"I received an email dated 22 July (2016) advising there was a new survey available . Yet after logging into my account today (26 July) the My Survey page under the heading "Surveys for you" states: "There are no surveys currently, please check back later."

and got this response:

"For some of our surveys, we are only looking for a small number of people to participate. In this instance, we reached our target number of responses very quickly thanks to a very strong response from our members. Unfortunately, by the time you attempted to do the survey it had reached its goal and was closed.

We understand this can be frustrating and we do try to make as many surveys as possible available to a large number of our members, but that is not always possible. As a result, we encourage members to take part in surveys as soon as possible."

Thanks for sharing that, 5 minutes and the quota was filled.
Either a bloody small quota or people running script bots in the background :p

Well, 5 mins from when you received the email. As they are sending out lots of emails to people (and they can't all at once), it depends on where you are in the email list (alphabetical or perhaps [more likely] ranked based on factors they are tracking - likelihood to respond, responded before to similar offers, etc) AND how long it takes for you to respond.

And Rachel replied saying so sorry here's 400 points and they are there already.

Thanks Rachel

Glad you got a response so soon. I got a response quickly as well and the reject points have been credited. I'm happy with the outcome. I didn't do the survey but still got the non completion points.

I do them infrequently these days. Too busy, but handy for for a few QF points here and there.
