At least in PE and from Perth it is less expensive to fly to Denpasar and purchase the tickets based on fares there. Pity about the red eye on QF to SYD though. mid week upgrades anyone?
And AA PE from SYD to the states lowers the price yet again

Syd - LAX, seems like all big 3 US are matching fares with QF, at least for some dates. Plus FJ are ~$1050 on select dates as well (although awful connection times, becomes a stopover effectively), so bear in mind!
