Qantas release of Business & First Class seats to USA

What a beautiful sight to see... glad to see lots of reward availability for once.

Nice to see that Qantas are listening.

Transpacific flights are light on in bookings for the next few months.

I guess make the most of it as the cycle will come back around.

Picked up SYD - LAX (J - 108k) and LAX - SYD (F - 162k) for the Apr school holidays 2024 which def wasn't available a couple of weeks ago - winning!!

Have been keeping a hawkish eye out for QF J CR seats to/from USA in Feb for the last few months. I haven't seen anyone else post about seats being released this early, but unless seats.aero and EF have failed me and they were available all along, today’s dump of CR seats definitely delivered. Snagged 2 x QF J SYD-DFW (to replace the 2 x AA J SYD-LAX-DFW I was late to the party in stumbling across a few weeks ago), and 2 x QF F LAX-SYD return (in what would otherwise have been a very uncomfortable 15+ hrs in Y). Very happy!

Hi Folks - related to this event.... though a different question... I'm trying to get my SIL across to HNL from IAD to meet with us while we are in HNL off the back of this release, and I can see on her preferred departure date that there are no options if I book IAD-xLAX/SEA/SFO/etc-HNL, however, I can see IAD-LAX and LAX-HNL seperately, both on AA and with a 2 hour connection at LAX. Is there anything that I should be concerned with if booking that, for her? If both are AA and on the one booking, they would just check her through, right?

EDIT: Eventually managed to get what I needed with a 2nd connection, but overall faster travel time.

Cheers,
Matt.

I was trying to decide whether to change some travel plans to take advantage of this release.
Took a while but decided to bite the bullet and have booked QF12 First class award.

When I was looking at coming back from Eur to Aus there was now a QF F award from LA to Syd which I have now grabbed.
Have also just booked (separate ticket) via Finnair AY1 J award and have 2 days in LA.
