Qantas research panel

I received the survey as well. Not a fan but fly enough to not need to buy it. I still have nearly two full years of paid QC sitting there waiting to be refunded when I get LTG, one day.
Don’t hold your breath for that refund.

I have 9 months of paid QC that’s been on hold since I first reached SG, in about 2002. I didn’t drop back below that level and then hit LTG in 2010. I don’t think my refund is ever coming…

So they would pay for lounge but not business class? Seems a bit weird. In my experience companies are either really cheap and won't pay for anything other than an economy ticket or they just pay for business class.
Our policy is we either book economy flights or give staff the equivalent cash allowance to book their own flights in whatever class they like (or even to use their own points and keep the cash if they prefer).

We also pay for annual QC membership but only a couple of staff would really do more than 2-3 trips a year, so a monthly option we can enable when people are actually flying would be much better than dropping $600 on annual memberships for every traveller.

I hit LTG last week after not having relied on QC for about 6 years as I was Gold, Platinum and now P1. How do you find out your balance of QC? Where does it say you get a refund for that portion of QC not needed any longer once you got the benefits through FF tier?

I don't know there's anywhere you can find the balance of your QC membership, I just remember mine had 9 months remaining when I first made it to Gold.

The QC Terms & Conditions allow for a pro-rate refund to your estate in the event that you die before the end of your membership year, or within the first 2 weeks of joining, but exclude a refund in any other circumstances.

The clause that defines the refund terms (5.9) refers to two additional circumstances where you can get a refund, but conveniently the clauses referred to (8.4 and 8.5) don't actually appear in the T&Cs at they currently stand.

SYD+1 just received also but hasn’t been to India either.

Another data point that my PCV is probably less than SYD+1….😔

Does that method attract Fringe Benefits Tax? That was always by my company's accountants as the reason such allowance method wasn't allowed for travel expenses.

Colour me interested. I'd be keen but is it open to others or targeted?

Perhaps targeted as I did a panel survey earlier this week about Lounges and Asian travel, but worth a crack at hitting the link @Daver6 and taking the survey.

Computer can only say No!

I got it too. I've been holding off going to Bangalore because of the perceived flying experience. Old A332 in un-refurbed Y and small IFE screen for 12 hours isn't my idea of pleasant.

Precisely my feedback. And the lack of Y+ on the flights to India.

I got it today too. Never been to India before but have participated in QF focus groups in the past.
