Qantas Schedule more Evening Departures to North America

Eastern state connections out of DFW are superior to those out of LAX.
Good point! Though being in Brisbane recently has meant going to DFW means 2 flights, plus where you want to end up after DFW.

Though AA’s BNE to DFW service will be an excellent option once launched!

Evening departures suit me. Although arrival into LAX ,if the flight is late, can be worrisome after dark, if you are looking for car rental or checking into a hotel .
I prefer night departures where ever I fly OS as I can sleep for at least four to six hours after a few drinks. Does Qantas have a shortage of long haul aircraft in its fleet ?
I notice some flights returning go to Melbourne or Sydney, then I could be required to transfer to domestic to get back to my original departure point ( Brisbane)

but
hotel hard to get to - sure airtrain stops close but it is a long walk from the station, (incl thru an elevated carpark structure ) to the hotel and current JFK reconstruction is making getting anywhere in the airport there difficult.

Forgive the digression, but what was the service like? When I was there, it was very bad (check-in, bar etc) - as commented on by on-line reviewers.

I've been following the daily departure time trend of QF 11 (SYD/LAX) and rarely do I see that the flights leave on time. Today, Sunday April 14, the flight has been delayed 3 hours !! Over the past week, the closest to departure time (ie 1735 hours) has been just 40 minutes late departing. This then means a late arrival into LAX, and another long waiting lay over since the connections booked will have left and a replacement flight would need to be found.
It's high time Qantas lifted its game on such important International routes and kept to their schedules.

The last few days has had issues from schedule changes due to ME issues (with QF9/10 adding a SIN stop) and reportedly A380 OQB requiring unplanned maintenance in LAX.

Qantas have a shortage of long haul aircraft in its fleet ?

It has four A380s in AUH as part of planned maintenance and return to service, but the current schedule is built around that.

QF for many years has operated with high utilisation. If there is an unplanned issue, it tends to cascade.
If anything recent schedule changes have reduced recovery time at LAX
