It's very likely that this year 31 Aug I'll be 560! short of requalifying. I have a Y trip to USA in early September so that's unfortunate timing. I do admit that during this year I took other airlines while QF price was 50% higher on the same trip.

560 short of Gold. I'm not expecting much. An extra 14 days would cover my next trip.

(I've only been a member starting with Flight Deck in 198x, first going gold in 1992.)

If you have the points and you could use Gold on the upcoming trip, I'd call to ask the QFF team if there's 'any other way' you can renew your Gold status.
