I am seriously considering doing it myself, using the 1.5 SC offer I received.
Sadly the sale doesn't start until November so I can't do it next week while I am in Sydney!

re : budget - I was thinking aroud A$1000 ? not sure if that's less or more for 175 SC. Never did a status run before, so no clue there

I've seen Syd to chc for about $1200 if that helps, a touch cheaper than akl, get the same amount of SC

If my suspicion is correct that double SC are targetted, I think I will send a message to QFFServices that my current itinerary and commitment to the company for 2020 includes a minimum of four international flights for my wife and I. That ought to do the trick, n’est pas?

New SC offer today with flights being booked. 50% more but not a lot of use. I am 2 months short of my anniversary and already QP but no chance of anything higher. It's a waste of SCs. Qantas does not carry over SCs.

It's a waste of SCs. Qantas does not carry over SCs.

The SCs count towards your Lifetime tally which helps with achieving Lifetime Status.

@levelnine : most people doing a search on Qantas.com and logged into their FF profile are indeed getting offers, which is AWESOME But for some reason, I'm not getting "targeted" lol

But as @RichardMEL suggested, I think I will go ahead and make a booking and not wait ... anymore ...

My offer was bookings from 9 October until 15 October. It seems strange that the offer corresponds exactly with a booking, but it may just be coincidence.

I often find WLG-BNE in Business is cheaper or the same price as WLG-SYD, you get 40 SC for a total of 120SC. I also see the WLG-SYD-MEL trip at the same price as the WLG-MEL not stop as well.

The nice thing about LTG is that I no longer care about SCs. Unless I have enough travel planned to make WP in a year (and I would always know in advance if that were the case) I don't need to earn any SCs at all for that year.

As a matter of interest how many people are LTG and despite all those flying & money spent LTG is no different to G to differentiate someone who just turned G except the obvious.
