Any tips out there on the cheapest way for two to fly to Seoul (happy to go via HK or NRT) in Jan/Feb 2015 business class with points (or points + pay)?

Just looking through the qantas website they want 600k + points per person!

Have accumulated points for a while, but have never redeemed.

Thanks in advance for everyones help.

Did you try SYD-NRT-ICN with JL?
90 minutes connection in NRT looks ok.

I can see plenty of availability in business class outbound but nothing coming back. I can however see scattered first class availability on Japan Airlines NRT-SYD and vice versa.

I assume you plan on using Qantas points. SYD-HKG-ICN in business on Cathay should cost 92,000 points per person and ICN-NRT-SYD on Japan Airlines in business/first should cost 114,000 points. Might as well go Japan first class in both directions.

Japan Airlines award flights does not show up online so you have to call Qantas to book this.

Thanks for that, i will have to give them a call on Monday. Yes Qantas points. We have about 350k at the moment, happy to pay the difference. Will i need to pay to call, or should i be getting the service for free (since it is not online)?

Thanks again for your help.
