It was a pre-made one. I agree I love getting sandwiches made in front of me too. I just wondered whether it was a cost cutting measure to barely put any filling in - so they advertise they do these wonderful sounding paninis on the menu but when you get one there isn't much too it other than bread. Or perhaps I got a dud one in the batch. Or people are actually quite happy with not much filling and so Qantas is hitting the spot. Was this pre-made? I almost always (anywhere, not just lounges) ask for a fresh made sandwich or other item with particular ingredients included or excluded. Generally get much better filled items if the staff are making on the spot and for me.
Just super curious what others think as this panini bar was supposed to help lift the food offerings in this lounge yet if they offer sad sandwiches then it isn't much of an enhanced experience.
