Qantas ticketing delays - likely risk of losing booking.

It will work well until you get someone in Cape Town who will just put the call on hold until it disconnects 😬
😂

Trying it as I type. Think I might be through to Fiji. Told him I'd booked four days ago and that they had said 24-48hrs turnaround. He said that's right. So I pointed out for the mathematically challenged amongst us on the call that we'd reached the 96hour mark...! He put me on hold, came back, and said that as I wasn't flying until May that it's with the ticket department and that they will do it whenever they get to it, "it could be in seven days, or two weeks."🤦‍♀️.

So I pulled the "partner airline said they will drop the seats" card and...back on hold...waiting to get cut off 😏

I actually had a Cape Town agent proactively let me know "if our call gets cut off I will give you a call back on the number you've called from xx_xx". I thought that was pretty good!

Also found that the Cape Town agent I ended up with who fixed my booking, was previously on domestic flights only and was being trained on international bookings.

I haven't had anyone say it proactively, but have been told at least a half dozen times in the last week or so that I will get a call back if the call cuts out.

Still waiting for a single call back.

I’m having major issues with ticketing and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to do.

To cut a long story short, I booked flights using flight credit over the phone on 8 Feb as the system would not allow me to do it online. I was told I would receive a booking confirmation but I still have not. Flight is perth to broome on 4 March, returning 7 March.

Fast forward two weeks to now, I have called 5 times and lodged 2 online qantas customer care queries but the issue has not been resolved. Each time I call, I explain the situation and they say that the booking is there but the person who I spoke to in the call before had not issued the ticket properly. Each person says that they have sent the booking off to the ticketing department and that I would receive a booking confirmation. Each person gives me a different time frame as to when I would receive the confirmation – I’ve been told I would receive it within 30 mins, a few hours and 24 hours.

I constantly check my emails (including junk) and have definitely not missed anything. The booking also is not showing up when I log in to my FF account even though I’ve been told it has been linked.

If anyone has had a similar experience with ticketing issues and has any advice I would really appreciate it.

While it looks like you unfortunately won't get through to the Hobart / Auckland call centers with these numbers any more (ugh), you could try calling the numbers in this thread (Qantas Call Centre Long Wait Times). No guarantee anymore the CSA who picks up will be more helpful though.

How long is qantas ticketing taking at the moment? We have a domestic flight that has to be modified and we were told it will be tickets in 24 hours and now 3 days later nothing has happened.

As long as it takes to chase it up with the Call Centre, I guess, then a bit longer. ;). However, QF flights will be okay.

I'm still waiting on a revised e-ticket (including oneworld partners) from changes from almost six hours ago. I'll be getting a bit nervous if it's not done tonight. 🤔

So my domestic rewards flight had ticketing issues after it was altered. I've been on the phone a couple of times and this last time she said that there was an issue with the automatic process because of the changes and put me on hold while speaking to another department.

I was told that it had all been fixed and it should be automatically ticketed now. How long should it take? I would have thought a couple of hours but it's been 6 hours and nothing. Last time I was told it may have been fixed I waited 4 days and nothing happened.

So I'm having a ticketing issue, my booking was changed too many times (first by myself, then Qantas then myself) for a classic rewards flight that should have free changes/cancellations. Because of all the changes, the ticketing has been placed on a manual queue.

I have called many times, gotten through three times (twice to South Africa and once to Fiji), the second and third time I was assured that it was all fixed and it will be ticketed in 24 hours but it is now 3 days after the last call and it hasn't been ticketed so I assume it is in the manual queue.

At this stage, my options are to:
1) wait (how long will this take?)
2) this is actually for a return flight, while my flight to my destination is on a separate booking and is fine. So I could while I am at the airport see if any staff there can fix it for me?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

There aren't any ticketing staff left at the airport I believe? I think you are now directed to....call the call centre (on the "priority" number shared above)

Oh my gosh, one of the times I got through it was the priority number above...... I wonder what happens when someone shows up at the gate and it hasn't been ticketed, it is a QF flight so my seat has been blocked off but would they stop me from boarding the plane?

Anyways, its 5 weeks away so I will give it 2 weeks to be manually ticketed and then try the priority number again.

Anyone with experience on a delayed ticket with a JAL award? Reading here I understand MH and QR can drop awards if not ticketed quickly.

Wondering how long I wait for it to ticket before calling up. Only been 24hrs so far

I believe JL have a short deadline. I would definitely call again.

Some AFFers have been reporting no call delays, in another thread. But that was yesterday. 😉
