Does the SFO situation change with the AA-US merger?
I wouldn't think so. US only adds CLT, PHL and PHX
Does the SFO situation change with the AA-US merger?
Just had some Oct flights reschuled - 93 on Sat morning - now later and 94 on the following Friday now earlier
Luckily the self booked AA stuff still times in - 3 1/2 hours after 93 and 3 hours before 94
If QF93 was late or there was a big backlog in immigration they would obviously hold QF107. There would be a fair number of connecting pax so no point it having the pain of having to rebook them onto other services. You'll probably also be given express cards for immigration which will make things far more pleasant.I had a look in E/F and the standard MCT for Int to Dom is 2 hrs, but QF93-107 is only 1hr 15!!!
Me too. My QF93 MEL-LAX has been rescheduled to depart 25 minutes later. The connection to QF107 is now 1 hour 45 minutes! 2 hours ten minutes was making me nervous at LAX. Have the MCTs been updated. I had a look in E/F and the standard MCT for Int to Dom is 2 hrs, but QF93-107 is only 1hr 15!!!

True...but what about my lounge time???
I had wondered this too as I arrive into LAX from DEN on AA a couple of hours before QF94 leaves. Now I've realised I can't use lounge passes at the new LAX lounge so I don't care any more!
Remember the olden days when QF3 did MEL-SYD-HNL-SFO?
I still think there should be a Aust-HNL-USA service of some kind.
Has then "new" QF93.94 schedulebeen announced. The timings seem to bounce around all over the place (eg. QF93 dep anywhere between 0910 and 1050 and QF94 dep 2230 - 2350). Mix of dates.
THe 1hr shift would presumably be daylight saving adjustment with within daylight saving it seems to shift week to week.
And not in a 767!
I have a QF 93 that clocks in at 1055 for MEL departure. The later the better as far as I'm concerned .
You mean you're not a fan of old rattle traps? Unfortunately, such a routing these days sounds like the way QF would start trying to have JQ fly to the continental US .

Would JQ be able to carry US domestic pax? Such as on HNL-LAX?

If it's part of an international itin I don't see why they couldn't make it happen. QF already carries US domestic pax LAX-JFK.
The US DOT restriction is only that people flying eg LAX-JFK on QF must have a international flight into the US on the same ticket. ie, no issue as far as US gov is concerned for a pax to fly LHR-LAX (BA), LAX-JFK (QF), JFK-HKG (CX).They could take own stopover traffic ie if you'd already flow Aust to HNL with JQ you could fly onwards to mainland USA with them or vv.
US Citizens could only fly West Coast to HNL & vv if they we're continuing on to Australia with JQ on that itinerary at some stage.
A wholly US domestic sector on JQ cannot be sold in isolation.

QF farther restricts that to QF pax only as UA had regularly complained about it and it's easier for QF to prove a fully QF pax flight details.
