Qantas to Buenos Aires in Premium Eco & Business

I've only been there once for work but did manage to spend a day in Buenos Aires. One nice area is on the edge of the city - little wharf called Puerto Madero I think, lots of cafes and great food, good atmosphere. One thing to note, most Argentinians dont eat until late, after 10pm is when it gets busy so if it's quiet then thats why.

The late eating made it very difficult to sleep for me.

The steaks were fantastic and the Malbec divine.

Opera Pampa is worth a look. (It's not an opera) It is a show depicting the history of settlement in Argentina with some great stunts on horseback. Part of the evening is a "traditional" Argentinian meal.

The Buenos Aires Tango show is very enjoyable too. A visit to Eva Peron's tomb is also well worth it.

As a Brit I though I might face a little hostility, but I have to say my experiences in Argentina were fantastic. The locals were warm and friendly and Buenos Aires is an astonishing city. You fell like you could be in Spain or Italy.

I just did EZE-SYD 28 Feb. Booked award J class back in Feb 2010 and was originally on the upper deck. Late last year, I checked the booking and saw that I was moved to 2A (F cabin, sold as J). Rows 1 to 3 were only available to CL and WP. Row 4 and rest of business available to SG. I managed to get 1A and 1K for my partner (on seperate booking). However, if you want a window seat, row 2 and 3 are probably better (no overhead lockers for row 1). Some prefer 4A/K for the extra space when not used to stow a baby

During the flight, the entire front section of J cabin was empty. They moved all J pax to the front (old F cabine) or upper deck. It looked like the rear J cabin was being used for PE pax.

With so few J pax, it was a very pleasent (albeit long) flight. Pleasant and attentive service. It was bit weired doing a 14 1/2 long daytime flight. So used to the overnighters out of LAX/SFO. Amazing route down over the southern tip of Argentina, skirting near Antartica and then due north up to Oz. From 1A, with my three windows to myself I was able to see Antartica (through some clouds) and lots of massive iceburgs.

Nearly booked a return PE ticket during the QF sale in hope of getting J seat, but couldn't really justify it. :-|

Wasnt a bad flight, good seat but had the usual lack of female hosties. Added bonus was the upgrade to F on BA from EZE to Sau Paulo. It made me wonder why QF want to get rid of F. The BA 747 F has a good layout, more seats than QF. BA are are redoing their planes while QF are removing F and replacing with coughpy flat skybeds

I've done this flight a few times and always seem to land the Wunala Dreaming. It has the old First class sold as Business class which is great since you get a fully flat bed.

Yep, we had the old Wunala Dreaming also. The best thing about being inside it is you can't see the outside. Seat 1A wasn't too bad either...
