Possibly a better chance winning Powerball I'd guess.
Maybe. Maybe not. Is a group of numbered balls, all with flat, shiny surfaces considered an essential gathering?

I can see it now...

"And here are our Government officials supervising tonight's draw...and enforcing social distancing"

🤣

I am sure all those balls go through a complete sanitising regime

Does anyone know if/when domestic travel will be stopped?
If I need to be somewhere else, should I go now????

No one could answer that question.
I think someone could... the Government has been drip-feeding various corporations for weeks now.
Last week, i know of at least 4 companies that "coincidentally" all told their employees the same thing "from now on carry your laptops everywhere" in anticipation of the announcement the Government made the following day. Obviously they want to avoid a panic, but they need to give the heads up to various bodies to help cope with the changes coming through. So, I think someone somewhere might have an insight. Esp on this forum. I have seen heaps of posts and "chats" that turn out to be a real thing...

Perhaps.

My cynical view is... whatever they say isn't a necessary action, will 75% of the time become necessary action in around 48 hours.

It is rather frustrating to be told that 90% of flights will be cancelled and then have to wait an unknown period of time to be told which flights will be left. I know this is a complex process, but it makes rearranging flights plans difficult and uncertain.

Not a coincidence. There are top level briefings. There are also top level leaks.

I think the borders will be shut imminently - probably before the weekend (latest Sunday). It's illogical to be letting tourists in whilst outgoing Australians are subject to a "do not travel" restriction. Warning from DFTA to get home is the clear precursor to the borders being shut.

I think domestic will stay running. The biggest threat is international travellers. They'll probably say essential travel only - and many corporations will say no work travel - but I expect for those who are prepared to take the risk, they'll be able to fly between the major centres.

Easter will be interesting. It all depends on whether we've acted early enough to stop the kind of numbers they're getting in the US & Europe. If we're in the 1000s next week (as the current trend indicates) we could be in a full lockdown by Easter. However, US haven't stopped domestic flights - I imagine they will be a good test of what is in store for us.

And for some months to come. The new normal, if temporarily.

A couple of Perth "news" sites are speculating (SPECULATING !!!!) that Indonesia may close their borders. Bye bye Bali....

Holding off on wandering
