?.They are cabin crew.
That seems to be a look these days - I see heaps of women with tops (though usually buttoned blouses) where only half is tucked in.Model with the eye shades even has half her top tucked in?
Sure, when you juxtapose quotes from a Virgin thread (? off topic?) and a Qantas thread, out of context. But I'm flattered you go out of your way to find them to make some point.I'll just leave this here...

SureIt's all marketing - remember?
Sure
But the marketing is via invited influencers and commentators who nary has a critical word to say about the airline lest they don't get invited in the future to a marketing possum or worse don't get invited to turn left on an aircraft
The media also all know that if a poor word is said or if reporting is not according to the airline preferred talking points then their boss might get a call from someone in the airline.
A big marketing gig for something that will appear in eBay for $5 in a few weeks, (OK let's say $5-$20)??. yeah Nah

Dunno about that, More media space and time was given to the pyjamas and eye shade. It was never about the pyjamas themselves - it’s about the route.

Give me the ANZ black Marlow ones anytime.
Everyone knew that irrespective of the "party"Now everybody knows Qantas is flying to New York.

No, everyone knows QF operates to JFK. It's been a QF destination since forever. Remember the "New York to Rio to Old London Town" tune in the "I still call Australia home" 1997 ad?. Or the 2015 "feels like home ad" where the first scene is some QF pax getting into a NYC yellow cab to get home to AU?. And the project sunrise nonstop JFK-SYD experiment? Not your average Today/Sunrise viewer.

Even the JQ Bali connoisseurs know that.
If people don't know QF operated to JFK prior to this marketing campaign, then QF marketing can't be good.
Oh come on, you really think QF pax have short memories - maybe QF pax really are not match fit.Yeah, but a little thing called covid got in the way...

All the usual QF pax and certainly many non QF pax came rushing back post Rona booking fares all over the place with extremely high loads to all destinations. What? they forgot JFK existed on the QF booking system?. . Lucky then they remembered that QF existed
Huh? NYC is an iconic travel destination, Don't need to be a frequent flyer to know that.We can't all be frequent flyers.

It's not so much the advertising, it's the assertion that people don't know that QF operates to JFK.
Agree, but it's the notion that the ad campaign was because travellers don't know that QF operates to JFK. In the same way, Putting QF on the brains of would be travellers was also not because travellers forgot QF existed. (Resuming a service sure)And even if they are aware, it’s just another TV spot to put QF on the brains of would be travellers. Everyone knows coke exists yet they spend how much on advertising?
