QANTAS to launch their own credit card in tie-up with Citibank

I have this card and will probably be holding on to it. $149 with 2 Qantas Lounge passes and 1 point for QF per $ is fine by me. When the first year is up I am going to try the cancel route to see if I can get the yearly fee waived and or the same reduced yearly fee. It is my only Qantas points earning card.

I have the Amex Edge/Explorer Combo 3 Points per $ Supermarket, 2 Points per $ everything else, this Qantas Premier Platinum Mastercard card for 1 Point Per $ Qantas spend for where Amex isn't accepted, and the ANZ Travel Rewards Visa Card that I got recently for the signup bonus, free trip, and lounge passes, and just use currently for the No Overseas Transaction fee feature of the card. I will also try the cancel route to see if I can get the ANZ yearly fee waived.

If they don't I will cancel the ANZ card and just use my Qantas Premier Platinum card via DiviPay to enjoy No Overseas Transaction fee and still earn 1 Qantas Point Per $ to boot.

So post the upgrades last week to QF Money and QFF site I am missing points from this month that should have come through. Stateement date 6 May and still no points through 4 days later (AMEX Came through so I'm thinking it's QF Money/the "Premier" card). Anyone else with similar statement dates having a delay with crediting of points?

Me! My Premier card statement cycle is the 6th of the month as well and the points are yet to deposit. I called Premier/Citi and they insist that the points have already been issued per the statement.

Interesting how your Amex points have come through though. Any delays in that?

I cancelled this one today. Just too many things that don’t qualify for points earn. I have kept Citi Prestige.

Actually, the Amex came through on Sunday which is unusual for the weekend.. I would say no, no delays as it normally ticks over on the 5th.

I haven't got my points yet either for the same statement date. Some bonus points came through last night from a QANTAS spend on the card which is strange. I usually get any bonus points and spend points at the same time.

I was credited 1200 bonus points on Monday for spend at DJs. My regular points dump isn't due for a while though.

Points from the card posted this morning

weirdly on the app I saw the total points increase, but the actual entries for the domestic and international spend did not appear for a bunch of hours. A bit confusing!

I cancelled my Qantas MC today.... The card was a mess with security issues when you try to log in, never got statements and later send paper statements which i did not ask... On top of that what is the value on the yearly fee?
I have 2 citi card. MC and visa more than 20 yrs and they are great and qantas created a monster with security issues ..
Being life gold, i get free guest passes and on international travel this card never worked.

Just got an email that qantas are offering three points per $ when using Uber with this card. Offer limited to trips Between 17/5 and 30/6

Just a word of warning to those out there, QF Money will automatically reject you if you try applying for the card again more than once within a 6 month period (Assuming you were rejected the first time).

They say its their internal policy. I was silly enough to think that cancelling my credit cards + receiving a significant pay rise would be sufficient to get me across the line for a card with an income requirement of $35k...

Cancelled today. Offered annual fee reduction from $299 but only to $249...no thanks!

Thanks for that intel. Could you share with us how many $ you put through the card. My renewal is coming up next month so interested if anyone else managed to get the annual fee reduced?

Looks to be on average $2k per month.

Annoyingly I recently had to cancel a hotel reservation and so it is sitting $700 in credit. They won't close it down unless that goes below $500, so they've suggested I pop down the shops and do some spending before the annual fee hits! LOL.

Assume that Vicroads spend definitely counts as Government spend and there is no incorrect categorisation which will allow points earn?

So i thought there was this promotion with this card where if you took ubers up until 30th June you got some bonus points.
Anyone seent he points from this?
My June points statement didnt have anything about bonus uber points.

I opted in as well and did about four trips during the period, however too hard to tell specifically from the statement whether any bonus points were credited without a line by line points tally like AMEX.
