Slightly OT but that article reveals when they hope to get the A380s back from a very long stay in UAE.
Its on the QFi schedule changes. They have SYD - DFW down on the 380 from Aug 11 onwards.

A new A220 base in DRW? And where are these coming from MEL-DRW or BNE-DRW?

Expect to see some more A220 domestic flights to/from Darwin to rotate the aircraft up there.

The former Mr pants has been told no DRW QF base (we were caught up in the original 717 base closure). Crews will overnight in DRW and SIN, reportedly

A good one for PC members (although would mean missing the F lounge for OWEs)
CR in Y should be 15 + 15 right? Or 38+32 in J right?

Edit: and if my distance math checks out, you should be able to do a SYD - CBR- MEL- DRW - SIN for the same cost granted you're now on a bunch of small planes instead of the 380 / finair plane.

MEL-DRW is showing A220 flights.
Seem to be starting the A220 up to the North a bit earlier too. The current schedule shows from January 27th the 5 weekly (at the time, daily till 24 DEC) QF838/QF839 will be replaced by the A220 as QF1268/QF1269 whilst maintaining the 2050 and 0055 departure times. Then from Sunday 30 March the service will be retimed to depart Melbourne 1110 and returns 0645 the following day after conducting the Singapore service. The service will remain daily with the same timings despite only 5 weekly Singapore flights suggesting the aircraft may sit in Darwin for around 16.5 hours.
