An interesting trip this week Syd-Melb-Syd.
My first Domestic flight since Covid I think!

How things have changed.

Turned up at valet parking in Sydney and was asked if I had a booking. Seems you have to book now.
For my return I'm getting in two hours earlier than planned.
No worries I'll just call and let them know.
The phone numbers on the valet parking ticket, are 'wrong' numbers.
As is the email address..........
Managed to find their website to change booking.
Reservation code not recognised..........

I can see what is going to happen.
I'll arrive home and my car will still be off in some long term carpark somewhere...........

Uber next time I think :)

Sorry, this is probably an old problem, but I didn't see a thread on it.

According to staff at Sydney when I arrived, a new contractor took over the valet parking a year ago.......

Yes, it’s not as it used to be.

Used it for the first time in April after a few years. Booked online and walked straight past the desk to go up the escalators through security. They staff yelled out to me that I had to “check in.”

I was confused because I’d booked online and I’m used to them having my name, number plate and flight details. Instead I had to give all my information again. They didn’t even have my name.

There was one QF agent at the end who must handle physical check in and she said “It’s nothing like it used to be.”

It’s def not as efficient as it used to be, but with the closer car parks closed, it’s still a better option.

Is paid QFF valet parking at MEL or SYD for $99 per day simply the price difference one drops in lieu of walking to the back of the terminal carpark maze?
