Qantas Wine latest offering

How many points should I expect from the case of red with the gin and an extra bottle of gin.

I'm seriously thinking about asking the mods if they can block the wine threads so I don't get tempted any more

Order placed on 20/12 - apparently the delivery address had 2 addresses:(. and wine was returned to epiqure, rang them and was told I had to choose something else. Have received the replacement and points have only just been received today

Just received my pack in the mail.
Wrong gin included. Seriously, it's not really that hard is it?

Worth posting a follow up on this one., credit where credit is due.
I received a feedback survey a few days ago from Qantas Wines and i provided feedback regarding the mix up etc.
I received a call and follow up email from Giselle who is the Partnership Manager, although i wasn't able to answer due to back-to-back meetings yesterday. She actually called again today and i spoke to her regarding my experience.
She did mention that they had large spikes in orders which caused a number of shipping and courier issues in December, but she was very genuine and i got the feeling that they do follow up on the feedback, consistent with some of the above posts.

I probably wasn't going to bother again with Qantas Wines but i will be giving them another shot after these interactions.

I've also had an apologetic call from Giselle this week. Same reasons (excuses) re volume and shipping given. Blamed human error and actually said it was certain staff that made errors. Given I've had three problems over several weeks I suggested it was more a systems and warehousing issue, which seemed to me to be about selling wine that was out of stock. Fumbling apology that this could also be a factor then followed.

Appreciate the call and I have had decent service recovery since (albeit initiated by me). But to blame 'staff' for online orders is at best a cop-out or worse unjustified.

20% off most wines over the long weekend (Penfolds seems to be the only obvious exception) if anyone is still keen to give Qantas Wines a go.

Interesting time for a sale. Maybe all the problems recently are affecting business. Hence the calls from Giselle and now a sale?

More interesting because they don't have a heat policy with shipping either. So with the current heat waves, good chance anyone from this mob will be well and truly cooked. I'll only buy from Qantas Wine during the winter months.

I had a replacement half case sent to me this week. 40 degrees in Canberra and it was left on the front porch. Not entirely their fault as someone was home but must have missed the bell. Was outside for a few hours.

On my call with Giselle I mentioned it. To her credit she did say to call her back if the wine was ruined. Tried one the next night - it was fine. Was also a nice replacement (a few $ more per bottle than my originally booked wine).

Bigger concern for me is when its sitting in the back of a truck from wherever the warehouse is to Perth. Most the wine I purchase isn't for immediate consumption either. So finding out in 5 or 10 years time that it was cooked in transit isn't much good, even if they're willing to replace it. I actually have a few phone conversations with them on this issue a couple of years ago and essentially they couldn't care about it. So realistically, anything coming to Perth in the summer months is guaranteed to be cooked given they don't use refrigerated reefers.

Wine needs to be treated like chocolate. If you wouldn't ship chocolate in the conditions, don't ship wine.

I need as many compelling reasons as possible to cutback my wine purchases and consumption. This is a good one. Unfortunately as this was a recovery order I was at the mercy of the heatwave. It did arrive very quickly though.
