Make of this what you will, but a wine made in only a few vintages. My take, it's a made or order wine that if it was any good would be made each year.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the last few cheapo bonus point cases I've bought. Willing to try my luck again with this one for the points earn. 26282 points for $426.60 as PC+ is half decent.

Agreed, the last couple I've bought (mostly for the bonus points) have been quite enjoyable. The last one was the "Vibrant and Enticing Shiraz Dozen" which myself and guests have so far been quite happy with for for sub $400 for the dozen and 25k+ points.

For a handful of $$ more - but 2 fewer points - I prefer this mixed case: Buy Get Ready To Travel Mixed Dozen | Qantas Wine

I'm generally not a fan of whites so this one wouldn't be on my radar. Tempted to take a second one for the team with @DejaBrew... What can go wrong with another 25k+ points...

I guess that we would only be buying that wine for the points? Nothing special about the wine itself.

No better example of YMMV than this very thread. I enjoy the Glenroy range highly, especially the cab sav.

Note that the price seems to have gone back up to its standard price, which is too high, and no bonus points.

Certainly a few roughies in there that they would want to move. Although this is nothing new. I just can’t find anything worthwhile, as much as I’d like to. I haven’t been checking the reds, as I’m after whites

Well I'm going to take one for the team. I very much view it as points with a bonus of wine so will be happy if it's a passable quaffing wine.

Cracked open my first bottle of the Magarey Lane Glenroy Coonawarra Shiraz 2016 this evening. First point to make... each bottle is wax + cork sealed rather than leveraging the preferred screw cap. Not ideal, but as long as it isn't corked, then I'll deal with it.

Taste is subjective and these opinions are mine, so YMMV. I'm going to say from the outset that in terms of buying wine for the bonus points, my last two purchases (i.e. Blue Pyrenees Premium Red Six and Curtis Martins Vineyard Limited Series Shiraz 2020) have delivered nicer wines IMHO. That being said, the Magarey Lane is a perfectly fine quaffing wine and whilst it's not quite to my preferred taste, it's fine for a 25K (and 2) point per case earner.

Watching that Heston fella on TV today. He did random street blind taste testing with a half decent champagne against Blue Nun which was put through the Soda Stream treatment. In all cases, yes it could have been editted, the tasters thought the Blue Nun "champagne" was the better of the 2. Sparkling Shiraz aint so bad.
