Cracked open my first bottle of the
Magarey Lane Glenroy Coonawarra Shiraz 2016 this evening. First point to make... each bottle is wax + cork sealed rather than leveraging the preferred screw cap. Not ideal, but as long as it isn't corked, then I'll deal with it.
Taste is subjective and these opinions are mine, so YMMV. I'm going to say from the outset that in terms of buying wine for the bonus points, my last two purchases (i.e.
Blue Pyrenees Premium Red Six and
Curtis Martins Vineyard Limited Series Shiraz 2020) have delivered nicer wines IMHO. That being said, the Magarey Lane is a perfectly fine quaffing wine and whilst it's not quite to my preferred taste, it's fine for a 25K (and 2) point per case earner.
