Qantas Wine latest offering

Yes I did likewise, even though I'm not a huge fan of whites.

I tried the Margaret River Stonefish Reserve Chardonnay 2022 and was underwhelmed. After one glass it's back in the fridge.

So a good points earner, but the quality of the wines is questionable (even my wife wouldn't like it).
Yes, but the strategy is buying points and getting free wine. 🤣

The wine can be used as presents (perhaps to people that we don’t really like).

Currently they have a 9 points per $ spent valid through to the 7th of March for Premium Wine members.

The Red mix above is $498 and nets 24,000 bonus points plus 4,482 points on the spend.

This means at total of 28,482 points for $498 working 1.75c per point (less for those with PC+ or a $50 voucher).

PC+ and a $50 voucher brings cost down to $398.20, and earns 27,584 points (plus credit card earn), so 1.44c per point.

Wondering if I should pull the trigger or not on the red travel bundle. Have the offer for 9 points per dollar and 5,000 points for first Qantas Wine purchase. Plus a $50 off voucher.

These will likely be end of year presents, so not in a hurry for the wine particularly. Just curious if more experienced buyers think there may be better deals down the track that you would hold out for.

Not sure you can stack the 5,000 point for first purchase with a $50 voucher, but great value if you can!!

I pure terms of point/$, this is a pretty good deal. There are similar offers that come around every few months, but not much better in terms of points/$.

Now, the points/$ value may not be directly related to the consumption pleasure of the free wine product they provide when you purchase the points. But the knowledge of the points earned helps to improve the wine appreciation a little beyond that which a true wine lover may otherwise suggest should be case.

Offer expires: 18 Mar 2025

- Earn up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points*
- Enjoy an annual $450 Qantas travel credit
- Don't forget the two complimentary Qantas Club lounge invitations and two visits to the Amex Centurion Lounges in Melbourne and Sydney.

Not sure both vouchers can be used together. From recollection only one?

Hmm, that changes the calculus somewhat.

Unfortunately, I don't drink red wine very much, so the points won't help me enjoy it more! I'm hoping the wines are of sufficient quality as presents for friends that do like a drop or two.

You can add to your cart and try to apply the vouchers and see how the system reacts. You are not committed to purchase until you provide credit card details.

In my experience, the mixed dozen packs in this price range are generally quite reasonable quality and most of my friends would be very happy to receive some as a gift, and perhaps keep some in the house for when guests visit.
