Some good news for Coffs - starting up in just over a week! Plus an article on the increase in cap for Cairns/TSV.
Thought some positive stories in light of all the capacity cuts and route cancellations were a nice change.


Qantaslink boost for Coffs airport
COFFS Harbour Mayor, Keith Rhoades, has welcomed the announcement Qantaslink will introduce the larger 72-seater Bombardier Q400 aircraft to service its Coffs Harbour route.
“This is a real mark of the great confidence that Qantaslink has in our airport and the continuing growth in its passenger numbers and services,” Cr Rhoades said.

Qantas boosts Cairns-Townsville link

REGIONAL air carrier Qantaslink is putting on a bigger plane for its Cairns-Townsville service.

The arrival of three 72-seat Bombardier Q400 planes over the next two months will increase capacity on the route by replacing the 50-seat Dash-8 Q300s which fly five weekly services between the two northern cities.

Good news for people travelling Syd-CH, though wish Qantas Link would stopover in Newcastle for flight to CH as one can only fly Nctle-CH Mon or Friday with Brindabella!!!!:(
