The 717 is the only plane I have actively selected rear of plane seating to get the maximum impact of the takeoff angle

In that regard, I recall whilst in the US in 1994 from memory that two cabin staff stitting in the rear seats on takeoff suffered serious leg injuries on an MD airraft with rear mounted engines, when one of the engines let go.
