I actually find the Q400 more comfy than a b737 or a320, better legroom and I don't think the noise is a problem at all. The Q400 just isn't that noisy in cruise flight.

Have booked on the Dash 8 - in the end the post by bsb made the choice clear - I have to travel way too much and the think I hate most (drives me to tears) is being in what is described as the "ensuing zoo"

Doing the trip up with the quick stopover at ROK, and the return direct. For those that care about these matters, I will report back on how seat selection, etc goes for me. (flights late Sept)
