The other thing I should have mentioned is that with these sale fares, if one wishes to go from PER-HOB you are much better off going PER-MEL and a separate booking MEL-HOB

Prices are quite low now on non-sale fares after fuel surcharge reduction. In some instances, even cheaper than Virgin.
MEL-ADL $59
MEL-CBR $73
SYD-CBR $74
SYD-BNE $102
thats the stock standard approach from DJ,their sale fares are pretty much always avail for at least part of the day after sale has finished.Interestingly Virgins fares are still bookable for the sale despite it finishing last night.
Just browsing and found some specials, without doubt in reaction to a certain Tiger Sale on at the moment...
MEL-SYD $79 29th June-24th September
MEL-ASP $99 1st May-31st May
ADL-ASP $99 1st May-31st May
ADL-CBR $89 1st May-24th June
Sale ends 20th April
I certainly think so. Just booked one, thanksEnds tomorrow, 27th.
01 Jun 2009 - 17 Sep 2009 ADL-CBR $75 earns 15 SC..
Via Melbourne is also $75 - earns 20 SC and via SYD is $85 - earns 25 SC. Same in reverse.
Worthwhile for SC run?
You could one way it to CBR. The price is valid both ways. :-|It's very tempting, but a flight one-way just to Adelaide from here will be more than a return of ADL - SYD - CBR. Bugger!
I'll wait till the next big sale.
