Qatar Airways may buy Virgin Australia in full - what are the consequences?

Dare I say much of the OP’s behaviour in the infamous Qatar thread is now “closed for replies” due to biased claims against Qatar Airlines and their state Government while evangelising Qantas and the Australian Government. Positioning of language towards
Qatar Airlines that ostensibly “pushes/bribes/lobbies/bullies” smacks of the same intent with all the same political and commercial posturing.
What's the link to that thread?

Yes but even founder members of clubs can get uncomfortable when they don't have many friends there.
Realistically who now in OW is QFs friend?
Certainly not CX, MH, BA (who as well as being part-owned by QR have a major rivalry with EK) or QR obviously
Leaves AA, AS, AY and maybe JL (most of whom QF simply & fairly discourages flying) with the others being largely irrelevant
The only hope for a new QF friend in OW is China Southern, if they follow through on their plans to join OW.

I struggle to understand how this advertisement-esque content is related to the thread topic. We’re not comparing prices and ‘who is best’ in this thread, so your comment screams of advertising, influencing and a commercial interest in QR.
I struggle to work out how your content on this and other threads is related to the real world. I am sure you are in one of JohnK's simulations.

I think its quite a good, sophisticated leg pull. Has to be.

As a hypothetical question it was a good one, though we fell mostly towards an answer that might resemble the reality instead of playing the imaginary scenario any further. Perhaps the whole thread should have been in one of the free-wheeling playground forums here for us to play in (beverages included, as needed).

Not sure where everyone finds the time and energy to play along with the multitude of fantasy what ifs🤔
Well you took the time and effort to ask for why we do...what if....,😂 (currently finding space in my wallet for my new combined OW QR/VA shiny card),😜
