Do you think Qatar Airways is a good fit for One World ??

1) Qatar Airways is one of the 5 Star Airlines.

2) Very High Quality Service --
( Matches the MO of other OW carriers - ie the Qualitative alliance)

3) Full Service Airline

4) Massive expansion plans in the near future , more than 140 Orders

5) Giving a Strong fight to UAE carriers

6) Virgin Blue and Etihad got approval from ACCC today ---- Qatar Airways would be a good reply to that alliance.

7) I know royal Jordanian is a part of OW but that airline has no rapid expansion plans , as far as what I know.

8) IMHO Qatar Airways would bring a lot of convenience to the OW carriers and I am sure the alliance would help in lobbying for airplane orders , Fuel etc.

9) I know Kingfisher Airlines / airberlin is set to join one world in 2011 / 2012 respectively.

Please give your thoughts. Just thinking out loud. :)

Qatar have codeshare and reciprocal loyalty progam agreements with 6 *alliance members so this woul;d be very wishful thinking.

think of doing a SC run on one of these!

Probably won't happen, but nice if so as flew them to europe in economy in 2010 and enjoyed it...

Just heard a rumor regarding some activity going on between Qatar Airways and QF for rumored codeshare , partnership ( maybe an invitation to One World ).

A "birdie" told me that there are some talk's going on.

Well I don't guarantee but , I certainly know the influence and the people the "little birdie" flies with on a daily basis ( " I tend to believe the birdie" ) :?::?: Lets see what happens.

The stretch from a codeshare to joining a whole alliance is a pretty big one. Very wishful thinking there…
