I'm flying Qatar first class to Doha then on Economy after that.
I'm struggling to locate what lounge I'll have access to in Doha.
Does the arrival class have any impact or only the next leg of the journey on Qatar?
Platinum VA.
Any help would be terrific :)

@simmomelb You get Al Safwa F lounge access when arriving in F on QR.

Lounge preview for you here:

Would be nice if you could post in-flight and lounge meals etc here
Qatar business and first class meals

I don't think it will give you any benefits for the economy leg.

Al Safwa first is currently closed for renovations. I had an F class flight and all pax from F redirected to the garden AM lounge

Good grief. Not sure what they could possibly be 'renovating', but disappointing for the current crop of those wanting to attend there. Besides, the AM Garden lounge is in the next post-code.

Was there any special recognition or amenity offered to F pax?

I thought the QR WP lounge (DOH) was very underwhelming - similar level to BA LHR F lounge (ie, not an F lounge). I guess that's why they have a separate F lounge.

Which lounge are you referring to? The AM Business lounge, the AM Garden Business Lounge, or the 'Platinum' lounge provided to OW Platinums not flying QR Business/QR Plat?

As I said, the Platinum lounge(s).

OK - I'm only aware of one 'Platinum' lounge, and, having poked my nose into it once, I'd agree its not what you'd want as a WP; its actually on the third rung of lounges at DOH. I've never been into the BA LHR F Lounge, but if the DOH Platinum lounge is comparable, theBA F Lounge must be pretty dire!

The Al Mourjan Business lounge was getting congested at peak times (really only affected shower availability) but the AM Garden Lounge has relieved that issue and in itself will be a top lounge once the plants grow a bit.

Al Mourjan was absolutely packed when we were there in July 22. Struggled to get 2 seats and when one of us went to the buffet etc the remaining person was continually asked if the one seat was free.

There's two now, main one is North and there's another in South.

The food was slop, I didn't eat. Drinks were OK. I had a very short flight to AUH so didn't partake more than one glass.

I overnighted in DOH (by choice) so didn't use the showers.

Nothing. It's been closed since 15th Oct until ~30th Nov or thereabouts. Official statement is on the main Qatar website.

During the peak hours its always packed.

Personally never liked it, always busy, very clinical, strange layout, too few showers

We were in AM Garden between 530 and 730pm 4 days ago..
It was busy but not packed. A shower was immediately available but I chose to spend more time eating off the a la carte menu!

Just looked back at my last TR where I went through Doha. I stopped overnight in the Oryx Hotel airside, so was in the AM Business lounge about 7am and it was if not quiet, then far from busy. I think most of us usually go through in the early morning hours, peak time for QR's connections through DOH, when the lounge is busiest.

Considering how large the lounge is, and that its for QR J pax only, its busy-ness says something for the volume of QR's business traffic.
