Qatar Lounge Access Adelaide

Some examples:

From what I can see from a quick look, that the lounges are actually all one world alliance type lounges except for the occasional "other party" but not airline provided. I am not seeing at SIN for example, one world customers being directed to say a star alliance or SkyTeam lounge. Perhaps you can be more specific for my poor surfing skills?

Well you wanted a list of airlines that don’t use lounges within their alliance (and SIN has QF, BA, QR etc)

But if you want to raise the bar to include rival alliances, then QR uses AF at SFO.

QR direct PAX to the Aspire lounge in AMS even though there’s a OW lounge (and QR is listed against it)…

I gave that invite a good stiff ignoring a few weeks ago and bypassed the conga line trying to get into the Aspire lounge next to the OW lounge.

For some reason @PERLHR says that doesn’t count - they have to be operated by another airline apparently?

Jeez. My comments was indeed directed more towards alliance/airline operated lounges. Other lounges ofcourse have been in existence for a long time through various means...however the point being made was this is a Virgin Australia lounge not an independent operated lounge where any carrier may choose to allow their guests. . In other words generally, one does not expect say one world operators make use of star alliance lounges and or SkyTeam lounges. Yes it can happen but not that often in my experiences throughout the world. Ofcourse other lounges are available like bought lounges....anyway ..I'll back down away and put my hands up....

It’s about dollars. The issue is them choosing NOT to use a lounge from their own alliance. Whether they go with an independent contracted lounge or a lounge of another airline/alliance, I don’t think makes any difference at all. That’s why I questioned your distinction as I don’t think that’s the important bit.

And as above QR has form around the world not going with oneworld lounges, it’s not just Qantas lounges they avoid.
