Qatar qsuite booking - who to credit?

Hi all

We have booked return flights to Europe on QR in September flying business. The flights from BNE to DHA are operated by Virgin but booked direct with Qatar. Our flight from London to DHA is operated by BA. We are QFF plat and gold and unsure what program to credit against these flights. We don't have status with VA. Any guidance as to best program to benefit from the bookings would be great!

So BNE-DOH with QR flight number on VA operated aircraft (but operated by QR as a wet lease for VA)
Then DOH-LHR QR flight number BA operated

As VA is not a Oneworld airline will not credit to QF.

Qantas Points and Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes, except on Qatar Airways codeshare Flights operated by an airline other than Qantas or a oneworld member airline.
* Effective for travel on and from 1 October 2021, P class will earn at the Business Frequent Flyer Earn Category.

Most (all?) OW airlines have the same restriction on operating airline.
As an example BA used to allow QF marketed EK operated but that was changed some months ago.

Suspect BNE -DOH will only credit to VA or Qatar ffp

Similar question but different situation. Looking to book a flight Mel - LHR run in Q Suites in October 2025. Currently QF WP and will be VA SG in October.
Not sure whether it is best to:
-book with QR , and credit points to VA
-book with QR and credit points to QF
- book with VA and credit to VA
I don’t need any more QF SC’s, but VA SC’s would be useful.
I also want to be sure that I can access the better lounges in Doha and at LHR.

Just confirm first that your VA SC will actually contribute if you book as QR properly. Remember the whole devaluation and needing 50% as VA flights for status going forward.

If it’s the better lounges you are after then you would need to book with QR at the very least

The lounge access thing I find very confusing. As QF WP travelling in business would I not have access?

You would have access to the Al Mourjan lounges in DOH which are fine.
My comment was in regard to booking the VA or QR flights. If you book the VA flight then you get access to the inferior Platinum lounges.
Your QF WP also gets you into the MEL F lounge
