Hi all,

I’m flying Qatar J next week and I want to take some movies on a USB to watch...does anyone know what file format the movies will need to be in order for me to plug and play?

The best I can find is a single post on FT where someone actually tried both an MKV and MP4 file, and they both failed to play. Some speculate that an AVI might work, but there were no further replies about tests, and this was in 2017!

I also managed to find a Youtube of someone displaying photos of the formats JPG, PNG and GIF quite readily.

Thus, I'm lead to believe the airline probably intends for customers to use this for photo/audio files.
