Question ,, if one was armed with the PDF above, would you be within consumer rights to get that price ??

or is it all to bad , as they have fixed the error ?

You might struggle, as the booking engine wasn't returning any flights at those prices.

I would doubt it, they realised an error and corrected it ASAP, not published in news papers etc i would say you would have a hard time getting anything. And probably not worth your time and money to persure it.
The key thing here is they corrected asap once they realised there was some sort of issue.

Seem to be a lot of "errors" happening lately by some big companies, a large hardware chain published a list of almost 30 items in their latest catalog that were unavailable, not so long ago a large supermarket advertised two cartons of beer for the single carton price etc etc.

This is not just one price error, its multiple errors on different pages if you count each city as a page, surely the price for such an error by a large well known company such as Qantas should be more than an "oop's, we are sorry", what happened to responsibility for your actions?

To be frank I am a little bit tired of specials that sell out in minutes, or were items that were never specials because of an error, I am sure there are quite a few unemployed marketing/sales professionals that could have done a lot better job than this!

Well if anyone feels they should get a fare for the prices mentioned, there are paths to take:

1. Contact Qantas and request the fare as advertised.
2. Contact Fair Trading (or similar) in your state and discuss with them.
3. Contact ACCC and see what they say about Qantas not showing Fuel/Taxes/Charges as part of a sale fare online.
4. Take Qantas to the small claims court and see if you can win.

Or consult a lawyer (probably cost more than what you would save) and see what they can come up with...

IMHO, your chances on each of these are probably slim in part due to reasons already discussed and also due to various laws that can protect merchants when they advertise an incorrect price inadvertently.

Depends how the back system works, but appears that they uploaded in one hit prices ex-tax, so may be just one error.

It is surprising howmany errors happen, given the number of sign-offs that happen in getting yu average supermarket catalogue out.

Had the same thing myself, somebody has done some work 2 or 3 or even 4 people have checked it over, and they really do check... and still a major error is in the work.
It happens and its all too easy to miss sometimes, sort of like can't see the trees for the forest situation.
