QF A350 First

Did they get Apple product placement payment?

And it appears there is no A seats as technically these are aisle seats

Luxury bedding?
Looks thinner than what Long Bay Jail inmates get.

Interesting. LH have gone away from separate bed and chair.

Wonder where the meal/work table is? RH armrest is storage, LH armrest retracts down.

That might persuade me to fly QF F. Almost as good as the Etihad First Apartments on their A380s, although not as large, and, presumably no shower!

It looks like the IFE is positioned on the wall behind the chair. So this means no IFE during taxi, take off and landing? Also looks like flying backwards when sleeping. While just lying down during cruising probably isn’t that noticeable, Id still prefer to be faceing forward. It doesn’t look like there was any space saving by pointing the bed backwards so why do it?

QF's version in the video render has the bed and seat facing the same forward direction, which both face the TV.

Edit - There looks to be a flip out monitor for the chair in the Acumen version.

That video was released when QF first announced the A350 order.

While I think the F product looks fine, I wonder if they will be pushed to change their J product, which suggested there might not be doors on the J suites (or at least not on all of them). Now that doors in J have become the norm on premium products, you would expect QF is feeling the pressure to follow, especially given it will be an ultra long haul product.

Laptop working and in-lap dining both sans table?

Regards,

BD

Yes. but with all international products QF select, they're heavily customised (EG Vantage XL to Business Suite and BAe MiniPod to Skybed). So I wouldn't expect it to look exactly the same as the base product.
