Hi All,

I probably won't do an overseas work trip next year which means I wont be able to retain both VA and QF Platinum

Has anyone done the sums on Qatar earn for QF Red e deals and VA Choice fares. The Qatar calculator doesn't seem to like VA even through there is a drop down box.

Web site just says 50% earn on choice and 25% ear on Red E (but not what 100% earn would be).

I do enough MEL-BNE each week to keep VA Platinum, but will only likely get half way on QF (and am LTG).

I figured I could quickly get to Qatar Platinum or try a status match?

Thanks in advance

For QF from the T&C’s

Accrual on Qantas domestic flights are only eligible when they are in conjunction with an international flight marketed by either Qantas or Qatar Airways on the same ticket.

VA domestic flights I believe you earn Avios but no QPoints towards QR status

Thanks, thought it might be too good to be true (effectively get both for one)
