Hi

I recently took a QF Anyseat Award flight from SYD- HKG return in sale/discount Y. In my QF account activity statement it listed the flights flown but awarded zero points. I thought QF AnySeat Awards did accrue points as it was NOT a classic award. Has this rule changed or am I missing something..... has anyone had similar issue? Any info appreciated. Thanks

Hi ... do you know what the underlying fare basis was?

Hi Sefty I do not know the booking class but it was a sale fare of $599 return SYD- HKG. I decided to use points plus pay tab by using the slider and used about 40k points plus $300 cash. Now it says Anyseat Award on my activity statement but no points awarded. I thought I did a points plus paid booking not anyseat award ....or are they the same. The question is ....are points awarded for points plus pay or anyseat awards anymore? If yes then I need to pursue QF. Is the best way to do this is to make a claim for missing points online or just send usual email to customer service? If it helps the return flight was cancelled a month after booking and they moved me to an earlier flight.......did that mess things up??

You should have received points and status credits for this booking if it was Points + Pay as described.

I suspect that this may have booked into "E" class. Another member had an issue recently with E class flights to PVG not crediting properly. QF eventually admitted that this was an error and credited the flights correctly.

So yes, it is worth pursuing this with Qantas.
