QF CEO Interview

I think you missed the subtlety of my post - $5m for a successful CEO is appropriate - I am not sure we can measure AJ's success at this point.

Slightly off topic, but I am just not convinced that any individual working for a listed company is worth $5m a year.

They can be, if they have the connections to drive $x number of millions to the compny in business, then yes, they are worth it.

That said there are a lot of seat warmer CEO's out there who shouldn't be paid a cent IMHO...

This bloke is only driving millions to his own bank account, at the expense of others!

He never has had the core interest of QF at heart, nor to the Australian employees, or satisfying the customers.. The only enhancements he has achieved are to himself & the board... Not to shareholders or the Company's best interests.

It's the Irish I tell ya. Look at Ryanair, Aer Lingus is now an LCC, Willie Walsh did a good job of turning BA into an LCC before he was 'promoted' to CEO of IAG. ;)

I find that quite offensive.

I have no time for the way Joyce and the stuffed shirts on the Qantas board have conducted themselves, however to simply make an ethnic slur in my opinion is just not on.

Frankie says relax, it's a good Irish joke. You must struggle deleting your whole world with the Irish jokes on st Patrick's day........
