Hi

In the past when I book a QF reward flight from ex BKK I had to show my credit card to the QF office in BKK which was impossible as I am in Aust. As for HKG flight ex HKG I had to show my credit card at check in. Does anyone know if this rule still applies as its no longer mentioned when I do a test booking for a flight ex BKK or HKG

Thanks

I've never heard of this rule. I booked 2 qantas "award" flights (if that's what you meant) and flew them a few weeks ago-HKG-DUS and HKG-SYD and was never asked about my CC.

I have had this issue booking revenue fares originating in Asia directly on both MH and SQ, l eventually gave up and used an OLTA. Not had the issue with QF

I have heard of this some years ago and I believe the answer then was to call QF in Australia who sorted out the problem.

The rule on QF no longer exists (finally!).

And I can comfirm that when I took an ex HKG award flight last year, I wasn't asked for a CC at any stage.

I think you'll find the QF website refers to such flights as "Classic Rewards", but we know what you mean....

The rule for Thailand, China and the Philippines was changed recently (like last year or so).
